I'm sad to have to advise that a great Triumph Friend Bill Goodwin passed away this week.

Many of our members will have known Bill Goodwin from the US. Bill was a real Triumph enthusiast and even kept a Triumph (a Dolomite known as Dollyroo) in the UK just to take part in club events with both the TSSC and Club Triumph. He also owned a couple of Heralds that he had exported home to the US. Bill regularly visited the UK and came along to TSSC events such as Stafford, Duxford and the Isle of Wight Camping weekend. He also took part in many Club Triumph Round Britain and 10 Countries runs.

Bill was a great character and could talk for hours about Triumph's usually over a few beers which was another of his passions. he always took the time to talk to people and make friends at club events and built up some close friendships within the Triumph fraternity with several visiting him at his home in Maryland.

Bill was staying in the UK along with his wife Carol when he passed in the early hours of Monday, they were staying with another of our Triumph friends Peter Wenzle at the time.

Many of us are going to really miss our old American friend and my thoughts are with Carol at this difficult time.

Hi,

An update, Bill is now being cremated in the UK and will have his ashes returned to the US. The funeral is at 9:30 next Tuesday at Harlow Crematorium.

Ashley Mills has put a reply to the post regarding Bill on the Club Triumph Forum with details and his phone number.

It would be great to have some of Bill's Triumph friends there but if you are going please contact Ashley (Pistonbroke) on the Club Triumph forum via the number he has published as he needs to let the crematorium know.

Regards,

Andy
