brian wesby
Does anyone know of a supplier for new twin carb linkage components? present linkage is very corroded and the nylon bits are yellowed and yuk!
68vitesse
Made these for my Mk1 2L Vitesse a while back, UJ's sold for model cars/boats and 8mm stainless rod. Couldn't find a supplier for replacements. Regards Paul.

I have the bits, just haven't got round to making them up.
daverclasper
Do the bores of the U.J fit the spindles and also the 8mm rods, without any machining/fettling/. Looks a great alternative. Cheers, Dave
NonMember
I'm pretty sure the spindles on the carbs are 5/16" which is 7.97mm so they ought to fit pretty well.
rogerguzzi
Hello All I did the same but I think I used 7mm ones and turned the spinles down as I was fitting new throttle discs (not sure why I used 7mm pehaps they were cheaper?) 68vitesse
When I did mine the 8mm rod fitted fine but drilled the other end out to fit carburettor spindles, you can buy the UJ's in mixed sizes i.e 8-6. I replaced the hex grub screws as the supplied ones seemed a bit soft and used threadlock on them. Regards Paul.
rogerguzzi
Hello All I think I put flats on carb spindles and a groove in rod for the grub screws to go into when adjusting them for opening the same and balancing Roger
