Oil pump

Hello All

             I have to get a new oil pump for the engine I am building but my question is is the later angled one any better than the straight one?

I understand the capacities are the same.

I am going to fit baffles in the sump so I would have thought a straight one was best?

Kastner thought it wasn't as good in a number of ways, and his Competition Preparation Manual (Club shop?) describes in detail how to modify it with an extended, curved pickup tube.

So you might as well fit a later, angled one.
