Driver's Door Lock

Hi People;

My memory is truly beginning to fail me . . . (!)

I KNOW I can push the passenger's internal door handle forward - and lock that door.

What I can't remember is if that feature is supposed to be available to the Driver's door??!!??

It certainly doesn't push forward at the moment (since being back from overall renovation) and I can't recall if it did BEFORE going away for works.

There - see? The memory failed me . . .

All knowledge gladly received!!

I think you lock it from outside with the key as otherwise you could lock the keys inside the car....

The “trick” was hold the button in push the handle forward and close the door.

That worked on some cars, and was how many ended up locked out🤣

Assuming we're talking Herald saloon here, I don't think the driver's door internal handle pushes forward. Early Spitfire ones do, I believe.

yes drivers door is key only the handle forwards move is deactivated on the drivers door

as Jonny said  prevents lock outs with key inside 

well that was the plan
