mishmosh
I have a 4.11 diff thats tired and meeds rebuilding. However my car now has a 1500 with j type so would benefit from higher gearing. The slightly oversize tyres already raise the gearing by 9 percent. I am thinking about having a 389 but dont want to go to the trouble of changing all the existing good ujs. Can i get a diff rebuilt with the earlier output flanges but higher ratio gearing ? KevinR
Andy, I think it should just be a case of getting a different crown wheel and pinion fitted. Mike Papworth should be able to advise, and do the job for a reasonable price. http://www.classiccarwebsite.com/mike-papworth-triumph-parts
Roy
TD Fitchetts of Telford also do recon diffs, all built on-site. Prices circa £350ish

thescrapman
If your 4.11 was of teh later type, just pull the output shafts out and insert them into the spare 3.89. Voila! BTDT...
