Jetman,
You are not too far from the Essex group. Try Allan and Janet Jannaway on 01375 672072 as they meet in Brentwood. Getting to know other Triumph owners will be a great help.
Good luck from a Mark 1 owner,

I have been approached by a friend from across the water, who is restoring a Mk1 GT6 and he is after the dash switches for the Roof Light, Wipers, Head Lights and Heater.
They are shown by Canley as no longer available, and Paddock, Rimmer and Moss do not show any.
Is this an impossible task, or is there someone out there sitting on a stock of these?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Pete, I have given the rotor arm a tweek, but will try and measure what sort of contact or non contact it is making.

Checking over my GT6 Mk1 I have again noticed that on the Distributor cap the centre contact pole with the rotor arm has almost burnt away. I am using a simple pointless ignition. The centre pole is fixed and is not spring loaded like some distributor caps.
Could I have something wired incorrectly. The car has been running perfectly. I replaced a distributor cap last year because of the same problem.
Any ideas?

I was persuaded to go to my local bowls club carol sing along last night.
The first song was Hark the HERALD angels sing, and this line was followed by 'join the TRIUMPH of the skies'. I thought that I could enjoy the evening more if I could pull out some more relevant lines.
Ding dong merrily on high got another with GLORIA hosana in excelcis.
Then that was it, not a SPITFIRE or GT6 mentioned.
Could I have missed anything. At least it made the carol singing more entertaining.
Happy Christmas everyone,

John,
You say it is exciting - it is enough to rock your socks off.
Brilliant.
