Gearbox id is CB276339 can’t get a photo yet but will upload when can, thanks in advance

Wow thank you all for your help! I will look for the id and take a photo tonight, I have inserted another picture to see if that helps solve the puzzle.... from what everyone has concluded so far I am leaning towards a Dolomite 1300 as I vaguely remember my father mentioning this engine but unfortunately I’m not able to ask him, second question what what is something like this worth as it is not of use to me but maybe someone with knowledge and a need might want it. thanks

Is that the serial number? Or just a stamping number?

I know that is what’s confusing me from the id numbers I have seen all start with two letters then a series of numbers, was there any exceptions to this?

Hi I have this engine that I’m trying to sell for a family member, can anyone one tell me what car it is from as I’ve also attached the engine id and I can’t find that detonation anywhere any help is much appreciated thanks
