Doug - what have you done to be banned? 😉  I understand there are problems with valuations as the form editing is not easily available to the person doing the valuations which could be linked to Bern's departure.  Is this a widespread problem?  If so, where are our IT experts.  In the meantime huge thanks to Club staff and volunteers for holding it all together until new Shop person starts next month.

Hi Sue, Valuations are all in hand with a few teething problem’s hopefully now sorted it is a not a wide spread problem Just some I T issues 👍

There was a Post on the main page Last week?, saying that Julian had retired.? And the shop would be operating via other staff, pending his replacement.

    Pete

Julian has retired last Friday ,the shop is being manned two days a week Tuesdays and Thursdays for a couple of weeks until his replacement starts full time.

As a side issue to do with the shop, I needed 3m of Gates hose for my Vitesse, I ordered 6 x 1/2 metre as stated on the shop site, I got 6 x 1/2 metre lengths which is of absolutely no use to me, I`m sure I bought more than 1/2 metres before, and it cost £12 for postage, not overly impressed.

Hi Steve ring the shop tomorrow and they will send replacements free of charge

Looking at the insurance values for Triumphs in club magazine, I can't see any for the Courier van.

Does anyone know the rough value of these? Same as the 1200 &12/50 but plus a percentage for rarity value?

Hi the value is in with the estate/van section on the 1200 Herald section of the valuation guide in the Courier and on the Tssc website.

This  is only a guide as Courier vans are so rare each one is taken on its own merit hence the need to get an agreed valuation.

  9. Dear All,

we have been made aware that some members who have placed classified ad’s in the Courier magazine have received phone calls from a mobile number offering discounted advert’s in the magazine and asking for bank details.

Tssc hq will NEVER call anyone from a mobile it will always be the club phone number  01858 434424

Please  be extra vigilant as these are scam phone calls

    Thanks

Sorry, the question was not aimed at you John, it was for anyone reading this thread. I should have copied and pasted the text in a new post instead of quoting. I will reach out to someone at HQ.

Hi Roger, we are going to be trialing/offering  an electronic membership for overseas membership to see how it works as there are a smaller number of overseas members.

As an overseas member you will be able to chose normal(printed) or digital membership.

Digital will be slightly cheaper and printed will be increasing due to postage costs ( just waiting on post office costings)

we are hoping to go live by the end of the year, all overseas members ŵill be receiving an email with all information you will need to make your choice.

If it all goes well we ŵill be offering the same in the uk, it ŵill affect our Vat but Com feel the time has come for change.

    Hope this helps

Another low mileage Triumph listed On E-Bay, just goes to show they are still out there?

All Original panels and paint according to the advert, I'm not so sure looking at the off-side rear door shut area, still nice though but a tad optimistic with the price I reckon.

I saved an old article from a motoring mag some years ago. It included a photo of a (the?) coupe.  However it appears to show both rear windows to be the same shape?   I thought the N/S was different to see which suited the design.

Ignore the subject of the article.

Is it going to be the same campsite as previous years, overlooking Tertre Rouge?

    I do hope so.

I know that all the First Tickets private site allocation and public allocation is filling fast as it's 100th anniversary etc.

Hi Kev yes the TSSC are returning to Tertre rouge, we are nearly good to go just waiting for a couple of final prices and we will release tickets for the site.

the Aco have been very slow this year with prices.
