Having serious problems as many others with this window seal, so I've done some research. The seal for the GT6 in Rimmer Bros. is part no. 612792.
This looks like the one shown in the red covered workshop manual for the Vitesse on page 194, fig. 34 item 87. with clip no.613169. The seal in Rimmer's for the Herald/Vitesse is part no.608278 using clip no.613869 and looks nothing like the manual and is just too fat and impossible. Am I and perhaps others using the wrong product or am I deluded? Any comments most welcome.

Thanks Colin. Hardly seems worthwhile unless some "u" nuts would be useful.

On page 5.243V in the GT6 MK 1,2 &3, and vitesse 2ltr. workshop manual, it shows the rear seat squab
attached at each side by 2 acme hex/headed screws. In my vehicle there's nothing to screw them into!
What's missing?, Please.

Thanks Pete.

Hi all. Does anyone know what the thread is on the end of the throttle spindle?.
I lost a nut and can't find it but have tried all the different threaded nuts that I have
and can't get a comfortable fit.

Thanks Peter most helpful as usual.

Where can I get 'thinner' door aperture seals for
vit. conv., please?

Thanks Pete. Now to find a wire coat hanger. Never seen them in Spain but I haven't looked
very hard.

In a vitesse/herald door is the" Rod-tie, glass channel, bottom" i.e.a length
of stiff wire, an essential component? This does not appear in the doors on my Vitesse.

Another hero!. Thanks Gav, that suggestion does sound very plausible.

Thanks for doing the research Colin. I'm happy to go with your recommendation.

Any recommendations for a good manufacturer of replacement soft tops
would be appreciated, double duck, mohair and vinyl.

Ah yes Pete, that's a great idea, thanks.

Hola. Does anyone know of a supplier of shouldered bolts as used on the
convertible hood frame.? The threads on most of mine have been seriously worn away.

Not sure that the following is relevant to this section. I'm looking for a supplier for new chrome, bezel nuts for
dash switches, choke, heater etc. Have searched for ages but not much success. Chrome bezels and seals for
gauges, no problem. Does anybody have an idea, please?

Thankyou so much; of course they are!

I want to fit an electric fan to 1968 Mk1, 2ltr. Rimmers do not offer a revotec specifically for this model
and the Kenlowe that is listed is no longer available. I'd prefer a frame mounting rather than flexible ties.
Anybody got any ideas of what is available or have successfully used?

But, Pete, do you agree with the part no. matching the workshop manual? This is available so why not use it? I'm going to try them. Brian
