Thanks Gav, you must have read my mind. I sent them an email about an hour ago so will await their response. I've started getting a few other quotes back, they vary from reasonable up to to £15k 🤯 for floor and sills only! This is why i'm really looking for recommendations, gives me some reassurance and helps me find someone experienced and honest.

Any other recommendations for decent bodyshops or are most people doing these jobs themselves?

It's impressive you've taken on such work yourself, I did contemplate that but didn't think the floor and sills were the best place to start, especially with so many unknowns and lack of experience. Yep, my big concern is what lies beneath! I've stripped out all the carpets and interior and cant see any signs of rot elsewhere but that's not to say it doesn't exist. If i can find someone who can carry out the major work and do a full analysis then id be comfortable to take advice and tackle other areas of the body.

Thanks Josef, I'm in no immediate hurry so willing to wait as long as it takes for the right person. Those costs, seem very reasonable compared to the two quotes i've received so far, I know every job is different but I nearly fell of my chair when their quotes arrived.

Hi there, new to the forum and proud new owner of a MK2 Triumph GT6. It will be a lovely car eventually but right now it's in need of some serious TLC. I want to start with the bodywork, specifically the disappearing floor and inner sills followed by anything else that could come out. Looking for recommendations for talented welders/bodywork specialists who have experience with the GT6 MK2s. Also, If you've had similar work done and are able to give me a very rough idea of cost that would be helpful. I'm based in Surrey but will trailer the car to wherever needed if I can find the right person for the job. Any assistance you guys can give would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Andrew
