There are minor dents and a couple of chips but nothing substantial, it does have a little bit of tub spread though.
The car was sold as a solid, reliable car and it was a more than fair description. I am in no-way an expert but I think I've been very lucky in buying this car - going through the paperwork it looks like it was off the road for at least 25 years and has been restored within the last 10-20 years. I believe it might even be showing the correct mileage at 58,000 although I can't prove it.
There's a lot of originality although it's been re-sprayed with the wrong colour. It was Triumph 17 Damson but I suspect the colour used was the later BL 211 Damson, which is a darker shade. It even has its original carpets!
Apart from covering the basics - changing fluids, filters etc, I've got to treat the underside with some sealant, sort out the peeling varnish on the inner door tops and I want to get the wheels shot blasted before repainting them.
But mostly I want to be driving it!
