  1. I'll be there with my son all 3 days, camping at the golf course.
  2. There are minor dents and a couple of chips but nothing substantial, it does have a little bit of tub spread though. The car was sold as a solid, reliable car and it was a more than fair description. I am in no-way an expert but I think I've been very lucky in buying this car - going through the paperwork it looks like it was off the road for at least 25 years and has been restored within the last 10-20 years. I believe it might even be showing the correct mileage at 58,000 although I can't prove it. There's a lot of originality although it's been re-sprayed with the wrong colour. It was Triumph 17 Damson but I suspect the colour used was the later BL 211 Damson, which is a darker shade. It even has its original carpets! Apart from covering the basics - changing fluids, filters etc, I've got to treat the underside with some sealant, sort out the peeling varnish on the inner door tops and I want to get the wheels shot blasted before repainting them. But mostly I want to be driving it!
  3. Good morning, new member here (joined at the NEC restoration show) and now the proud owner of a 1969 MkII Vitesse factory convertible. I couldn't make it to the SEM as there are a few small jobs I'd like to take care of first before using the car in earnest. I won't be able to make the Triumph and MG 100th anniversary event at Silverstone either but have already booked the club package for the full weekend of the Silverstone Festival in August (camping there with my son). Luckily for me the South Bucks area meeting venue is very local, so maybe I'll see some of you there, if not at Silverstone (or possibly even our village fete and very popular classic car show this coming weekend!). Cheers, David P
