  1. When I bought my Spitfire MKIV thirty years ago it had Spitfire MK3 belts fitted. It is a very early MKIV built in February 1971. Some of the floor mounted eye bolts were seized in, giving the impression they had been there a very long time. Do you think that Triumph may have used up reamaining stocks of MK3 seatbelts on early MKIV cars? John Thomason in his book mentions that the MKIV was the first car to have factory fitted belts but does not mention if dealer fitted belts applied to the UK. My car was sold by the Triumph dealer in Belfast which had me thinking if dealer fitted belts were still fitted in Northern Ireland at this time and the dealer has remaining sets of MK3 belts in stock. Thanking everybody for any thoughts.
  2. HI, I woulkd be very grateful if somebody might have a complete set of Spitfire MKIV seatbelts which would be the belts and floor latches Possibly even the hanging hooks. Thanking everbody.
  3. I would be very grateful if somebody might have an early Spitfire MKIV alternator. This is the type with two connectors on the rear. The Lucas tag underneath reads 23634A for the part number. Many thanks. Nigel.
  4. I would be very grateful to anybody who might have a Spitfire MK1V produced before commission number FH16996 which might still have the two original Clear Hooters horns fitted. On page S6 (01-68) of the parts catalogue the horns are listed as: 156277/2 Horn, Super Post -RH 156278/2 Horn, High Note - LH Could you possibly confirm the right hand horn is marked HH and the left horn just H. I believe the super post refers to a HH horn. Very high note. But I might be wrong on this. A photo of the two horns would be brilliant. Thanking eveybody in advance for any help. Nigel
