  1. Thanks Dick, I will send them an email.
  2. Looking for the above if anyone has one for sale?
  3. Just for information. The correct Moto-Lita boss for the Later Spitfire, with TR7 column and shroud around indicator and wiper stalks. Is a B59 and not the B45, which seems to be advertised in most places, for Triumph Spitfires from 1977 onwards. I have read on a few forums of people cutting the shroud to accept the longer B45 boss body. With the B59 its a straight fit with no cutting required.
  4. Thansk for the replies. My thinking was, the distance which the boss stands off the plastic shroud on the steering column is fixed. The original steering wheel sits very close to the shroud. The Moto-lita boss being deeper, will bring the wheel closer to the driver.
  5. Looking at fitting a Moto-lita steering wheel to my 1981 Spitfire 1500. I am aware that the boss will make the wheel stand off the column more than the standard steering wheel. Has anyone found this to be an issue? Looking at a flat 14", but do not want to feel cramped with bent arms, and trouble reaching stalks!
  6. Thanks Pete, I will give that a go, it could well be something as simple as that!
  7. My 1500 starts and runs great. Idles at around 850 rpm when off the choke. However when the engine gets warmed up, the idle rises to 1000 rpm. If you blip the throttle it drops back to 850 rpm, but then solely rises to 1000. Any ideals? I have checked for air leaks as (much as you can) including the vacuum tube.
  8. Whining and generally noisy. Have checked oil lever and that is fine.
  9. Hi, My Spitfire, late 1500 with OD needs a new differential. Looking for recommendations on who to go to for a reconditioned differential. Or someone who can rebuild mine, to a good standard? Thanks in advance..
