I have just rebuilt my HS4 Carburetors, what is the best way to tune them? I have the jets, level with the bridge, I've watched you tube videos but all seem to tune them different ways.

I have just checked the new needle code number and the are ABT the old needle code is AAR will this cause a problem? also is this collar for the needle supposed to have this lip on the top?

Help needed, I have just rebuilt my twin HS4 carbs, on one of them if I manually lift the piston, it wont drop down back onto the bridge, the other piston will, any ideas what i have done wrong?

My engine bay needs a good cleaning up before i paint it, and the engine block, the engine bay seems to have like an under seal all over it, is there anything i can use to remove it?

Merry Christmas everyone, I presume that the carburetors on my 1975 spitfire 1500 are the HS4 type, is there any markings on the carburetors that will tell me?, the only number I can find is this one.

Fitting a new exhaust this week with a branch manifold, should i use the gasket that comes with it or I’m better using gasket sealer? Also should i use Exhaust paste for the joints on the Exhaust
These are the results of the compression test
Number 1 was 150
Number 2 was 160
Number 3 was143
Number 4 was 155
are these Ok or could there be a problem
