hardhatharry Posted January 14, 2022 Report Share Posted January 14, 2022 Rebuilding this 1500 Single Rail FR O/D gearbox and trying to measure the end float. I was expecting bush, washer, bush and thrust washer arrangement but I seem to have bush, top hat bush and thrust washer. Is this because its a late gearbox or am I missing something? Josef Posted January 15, 2022 Report Share Posted January 15, 2022 Can’t find a good diagram online (Canley’s link for the single rail mainshaft seems to be sending me back to the three rail mainshaft page @Works Spitfires?) The closest I have is from a Dolomite Haynes manual, looks like you should have: missing thrust washer, top hat bush, bush, thrust washer you have, circlip.
