  1. Thanks Pete. I've listened the lower nut but then it just tried to twist the hose so presume I need to loosen the upper nut first to allow for the twisting to take place as you unscrew it. I presume I can just take them off or will I end up with oil running everywhere as they come loose? Really appreciate this as I'm dying to drive the car! Steve
  2. Firstly can I say hello to everyone as this is my first post and sorry if I've not quite got this in the correct section, I will learn over time I'm sure! Unfortunately my first post is a plea for help. I've just purchased a mark 2 gt6 (will get pics up at some point). My initial experience has involved a 150 mile trip on a break down vehicle, fuses blowing(now sorted), alternator not working properly (again now sorted) and I still can't drive it because there is an oil leak and quite a serious one at that. It has an oil cooler fitted and the joints going into the housing are leaking. Can anyone help me by telling me how to get these apart and can I use some ptfe or similar product to try and make them good again? I've hopefully copied a picture below. Many thanks in advance.
