Iain T
A black mark for Carburettor Exchange, nuffin to do with me. I'll see if I can get some or punch out some washers tomorrow in soft 1050 ali. The copper is very hard. The brass washers couldn't have sealed as good as aluminium. At least I've found the problem albeit 18 months late and have a solution. Iain Edited May 6 by Iain T
Iain T
Aluminium washers arrived and they supplied an extra set of O rings. Time to reassemble and start the tuning process...again!
Iain T
All fitted with new O rings and 1.25mm thick aluminium washers. The bushing is now just below the bridge. I thought it might make a difference to the afr and it has...a lot! I had to use the standard damper springs not my hybrid stronger springs with the 7B needles. A blast down the road with one eye on the afr meter is required. Note to self get the basics right before you twiddle and check other people's work. It's the Ali body around the jet that is proud of the carb bridge body and I'm not sure if that's part of the jet holder assembly.
