Vitesse Brake master cylinder cap leaking

Beware of badly fitting lids on these cylinders.

This one came from Rimmers and the cylinder is fine, but the thread on the cap and cast body are a poor fit, so easy to get cross threaded.

Consequently, it feels as though it is tight, but the seal is not in contact with the body.

As a result, when braking, brake fluid spilled out onto the bulkhead which I have already painted twice due to brake fluid damage.

Lots of swearing and cursing followed.

The picture shows a precautionary wodge of kitchen roll just in case it repeats the trick
