Shaun Parkin
Wanting to put wolfrace slots on my MkIV Spitfire, want to fill the wheel arches a little more and want a wider wheel, advice on sizes with or without spaces would be gratefully received and what would be gained/lost in handling. Thanks.
GFL
Like the Wolfrace wheels, very Period? 51/2J x 13 With 175/70 tyre is a good combo and will give you a bit more grip? Should fit Ok with the correct Offset, ET16 Is about right I reckon?
thescrapman
Shaun Have you got short shafts or long shafts? Cheers Colin

Shaun Parkin
Shaun Have you got short shafts or long shafts? Cheers Colin Thanks for your reply, only had the vehicle a couple of months. It's a stock vehicle 1974 Mk IV. Which should it have and how to I find out? Thanks, Shaun. thescrapman
A 74 sould have long shafts. Worth checking it still does, it gives 2" more track at the rear than a short shaft car. Hopefully someone will come up with a measurement for you to check. I asked as you mentioned the wheel looking like they don't fill the arches. It is very noticeable on a short shaft car.
