  1. I've also been looking for a pair of seat frame clips. I found these last week, and ordered a pair as they look as if they might work with a rubber pad. Haven't received then yet. Ebay item no. 261221824897 George
  2. Are the Herald and truck being prepared for export together to save space? The truck looks new and appears to be a 2 ton Leyland 90, which would have been assembled at Canley.
  3. Great work a Scorpion Sovereign it is. I had discounted the Trevor Fiore connection as in Nick Wotherspoons Bond book he said that Fiore took his Trident design to Bond, who wanted to build it on a Vitesse chassis, but he was unwilling to do the considerable modifications required to fit the Vitesse chassis. Alan Pounder of Bond then translated the Fiore design sketches into the 2L Equipe, which bore some resemblance to the Fiore proposal particularly in the treatment of the fastback rear end. Thanks for your help, I know what to look out for in the classified ads.
  4. Does anyone know what this car is? The photo was in amongst some Bond Equipe literature, but whilst there are some similarities, I don't think it is a Bond. There is a stamp on the reverse for Motoring News, 15 City Road London E.C.1. Any suggestions?
  5. Probably Ebay, they were produced for the trade to assist dealers with model and year identification. The information is fairly concise, engine size, first and last chassis numbers, first chassis number of each year, and any significant changes to specification. I could send a pdf copy of the page if you want.
  6. Glass's car check book lists the first saloon in January 1966 HB 31058 DL, and the first convertible HB 31057 CV. The final number in this sequence is HB34053 in September 1966. It doesn't specify if it was a saloon or cv.
  7. The Equipe spare parts catalogue, which lists parts only supplied by Bond Cars Ltd. and not from the Standard Triumph parts bin, lists the G.T.4S. rear quarter trim panels as part nos. TC 15 & TC 16 for R.H. & L.H. This would suggest that they are unique to this model. The ones on my 4S 1300 look similar to ones fitted to the (Mk.1) 2L Vitesse, and measure 635mm along the top edge.
