  1. Thanks to everyone who helped on this topic. Some great advice. Rear tub removed, panels and metal arrived, garage tidied, so it's now practice and then deciding if I remove the front bulkhead to fully paint the chassis....
  2. Thanks for all the replies. I have got some sheet metal from Frosts which seem good. Any views, 6mm, 8mm or 9mm welding wire for body panels? Removed the rear body tub the weekend. Now for plenty of practice.
  3. Thanks everyone. Nothing a the local colleges. I am using a Clarke 135 TE Mig welder and a large gas bottle.
  4. I am about to embark on recommissioning my Vitesse and will need to get the MIG welder out. I want to be a better welder before I get going. Anyone know of anyone or where I can get some MIG welding training. Perhaps a day or half a day to hone my skills. I live in Guildford. Thanks.
  5. Any suggestions on best protective paint to use on Vitesse chassis and and underside of the body. Thanks
  6. I am repairing some rusted patches on a Vitesse rear body tub. Any guidance on what thickness metal to make the repair panels from. Thanks
  7. Thanks, I think it is one of the TD Fitchett ones that I have which does not fit. I am leaning towards welding on a new upstanding lip to the better fitting panel.
  8. I am trying to get hold of the vitesse/herald rear seat pan repair panels right and left hand- part numbers 806692RH/806692LH Anyone know who might have them (tried the usually places and they are not being made) Thanks, Jonathan
  9. I am replacing a Vitesse MK2 rear inner wheel arch outer panel. I have tried 2 different panels. One panel has the flange to fit to the inner panel via spot welds but the panel is not a good fit. I have another panel from Rimmers that fits but does not the flange to fit to the inner panel. Any suggestions on where to get the best MK2 rear inner wheel arch outer panel and or how to fit the panel I have that does not have the flange. Many thanks, Jonathan
  10. Anyone used TD Fitchett panels, they make their own.
  11. Hello, Anyone know who makes the best the best fit rear wheel arch outer lip and rear wheel arch inner/outer repair panels for a Vitesse MK2. Thanks
