  1. A little more done over the last few days. Rear inner arch is in, inner quarter repaired, lower B Post sorted and the off side floor pan is in... its been emotional 😢
  2. Thanks, yes the do (make) them. Regards~
  3. Yeah, I'd considered that. The roof isn't too bad and I could probably get away with localised repairs. Its more where it transitions to the rainwater gutter at the top of the A Post/window screen frame. Full to the brim of bodge and no doubt hides a mess when I get around to grinding it off.
  4. Hello all, Hopefully this won't have everyone rolling about laughing but is there anywhere you can still get hold of the front roof repair panels and seam cover panel, or has anyone got a cut or an old shell to cut from? Regards~
  5. Thanks for the info, I've just ordered a pair from Canleys. Regards~
  6. It looks well, certainly a cheaper option than an upholsterer. Regards~
  7. Colin, those are the ones I'm after. Regards~
  8. Seeking a pair of the D shape plastic grill sections. Regards
  9. Seeking a pair in beige. Thanks in advance. Regards~
  10. To be honest, my experience of those inner B panel to outer sill transition panels are absolutely useless and a country mile out fit wise. I ended up buying a inner B Post/striker panel and cutting off what I needed for the transition. Much better fit.
  11. Thanks Josef, its the bottom of the outer B post, the point at which it meets the outer sill. I've since purchase the full outer B post panel, I intend to just cut off the bottom 150mm or so to replace the rotten transition section. Regards~
  12. Thanks for this, a very helpful chap at the other end of the phone but unfortunately they only supply the full B Post which is a bit excessive as mine's perfect until the last 30mm or so before the joint with the outer sill. Regards~
  13. Good morning, I recently bought one for my GT6 Mk3 project, I think it might have been made for a John Dere Tractor, its a country mile away from fitting my GT6 that's for sure. I appreciate that reproduction panels quite often need work but this would need cutting in four and piecing in to give it any chance. Has anyone purchased a panel that is somewhere close or could recommend a supplier? Regards~
  14. Thanks Martin, yes, sounds like the one I have and the dims are the same. Its maybe just the photos that I've seen make the padding look thicker. Totally agree with your comments reference modern steering wheels, we're spoilt!
  15. Hello everyone, I have what I think is a TR steering wheel, that will eventually go into my Mk3 GT6. Looking at pictures of GT6 Mk3 steering wheels, the diameter of the outer ring (the part you hold) looks greater/thicker than the wheel I have. Would one of you kind people mind measuring the diameter of outer ring/the part you hold and let me know what it measures. Regards~
  16. I thought as much, I've for something for a Mk1 /Mk2 but nothing seemingly available for the Mk3.
  17. Hello all, does anyone know where I could get hold of a dimensional drawing for a Mk3 GT6, I have one for the chassis but its reference points for the body that I'm in need of. I'd appreciate any help or advice. Regards~
  18. Yes of course, thanks for that. Regards~
  19. Hi everyone, I could do with replacing both rear quarters on my GT6 Mk3 and I've seen a couple advertised locally but originally purchased for a Mk4 Spitfire. Are these essentially the same or would I have to modify the quarters in any way to fit my GT6? Regards~
  20. Welded on, bonnet offered up, bonnet off, body off and engine out. Next the front outriggers
  21. Hi, does anyone know what these would have been fitted to originally?
  22. Thanks guys, on that solid advice I'll be removing the cooler and probably buying a non cooler housing. Regards~
  23. Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to by blanking caps for a spin on oil filter conversion housing? I would like to remove the oil cooler hoses/cooler and run without one when the the restoration is complete. On that subject are oil coolers really a necessity?
