redrat
Hi guys , i have recent bought a 1200 herald hasnt ran right from day 1 , whilst playing with it to set the timing etc i have pulled out the distributor drive etc . However ham-fisted me tapping the stubborn distributor housing off i seemed to have knocked it out of round as the distributor now won’t slip in?! so is it ok to use one from a 1300 engine?? are they a standard part from 12-1300 engines thanks in advance EDIT: it’s not out of round looks like i have created a burr when trying to wiggle it off using som grips… lesson learnt .. will pick up some wet and dry and deburr.
