VitessePilot
Hi, I am getting our Vitesse going after a long lay-up and, with a new battery, the car is starting up fine however the red ignition light stay on. I checked the dynamo output at the dynamo and the control box connections , and both ends are giving me the correct voltage results. ( following this guide - http://www.triumphexp.com/phorum/read.php?23,1236703 ) I am suspecting the control box and could do with some pointers about how to determine if this is functioning correctly OR if I need to start looking for a broken earth connection. I hope you good people can help ! Cheers, Gary
Pete Lewis
If you manually close the constacts does it put the light out ? the box is the main culprit if the dynamo is giving output check the small earth on the box is sound. pete
VitessePilot
Thanks Pete. Opened the control box today, pushed the contacts and it all started working. I guess one of the contacts had got stuck. Gave them a clean anyways ( as per the haynes manual ) and it all works now. Thank you for your help !
