rougeherald
Tried fitted replacement callipers today. Frustrating experience, passenger side casting is to wide on the mounting lug, so decided to try the driver side, mounting lugs better, but now the calliper is touching the back of the hub and it won't turn. Old calliper looks to have been ground back a bit to give clearance. So I'm back where I stated. Does anyone know is the hub's are different sizes on the heralds I think we are only talking a couple of mm. As for the casting issue I would rather not grind back a new item, so considering taking it back, is this a known problem? Thanks in advance Aaron
Pete Lewis
its the hub the later ones for the 14 type calipers have the back face turned to give a chamfer , if yours are un machined then they can foul , a light touch with a grinder will give all you need Pete
rougeherald
Yes type 14 callipers, I think the passenger side is a machined one and the drivers side is un machined. Thanks Pete
