Lynsey
Hi, I've come across a Triumph Vitesse complete walnut dashboard complete with glovebox and all of the original black dials (speedometer, temp, oil etc)and levers. I have photos but I'm not sure how to put them on the forum. It is in good condition and was displayed as a decorative piece for many years. Anyone have any ideas as to the value. Thanks
Guest
Lynsey. You need to go the TSSC Homepage and list under parts for sale. If you are a member there is no charge, if not there is. I would certainly say it's worth £50 perhaps more if it is as you say; a Forum user may have recently purchased / sold such an item and could give a more accurate price. Perhaps popping a photo on this thread may be of assistance especially as the SEM is next weekend - depending where you live if attending the show. Regards. Richard. Guest
If you are unsure how to place a photo on the Forum do this: 1. click on the "Reply to this topic" in the top right hand corner of the page - it has the black box shading 2. click on choose files at the bottom of the thread page 3. select your photo folder from your computer and double click on it. 4. the uploading process is automatic and should take about 2 seconds to upload 5. job done Compared to some other website / Forums it's an excellent straight forward system with superb photo / document capacity - well done TSSC. dougbgt6
There are a number of refurbished Vitesse dashboards, without instruments, on Ebay £99 to £165. The Smiths gauges go for anywhere between £20 and £50 each. But probably best to keep it all together.
Guest
Lynsey. Looking at the photos the dash appears to be from a 2ltr Mk1 Vitesse. Realistically, I think you could certainly ask £100 for the complete unit - the only issue will be postage: 1. it's more than a metre in length, approx. 115cm - 120cm (cost implication) 2. fragility Where are you located, as knowing this may generate interest with a Vitesse owner locally ??
