Steve P
I am about to replace the radio in my Vitesse (1968 MK 1 CV) with a modern as posted in one of the other threads. In the drivers side footwell side board I have a speaker,it is rectangular, held by 4 studs and nuts, and the speaker and surround look very much like the original one I have for the radio and speaker that sits on the tunnel. The side one is definitely period,i wondered if these were factory fitted as I thought the radio and surround etc. were optional. TomL
HI Steve, It is more likely to be dealer-fitted. I recall when my parents bought cars in the 70s, factory-fitted radios were virtually unheard of and the dealer always fitted the radio of the customer's choice. Let us know how you get on.
