Bob Shoosmith
I have a Moss Malvern kit car with a GT6 Mk3 engine. It looks like I am going to have to have the cylinder head off, and I need to order the relevant de-coke gasket set. How do you know whether you have a recessed block or not? Is this done purely by engine number? Any advice would be appreciated.
dougbgt6
Bob, Look at the back of the head near the bulkhead, a recessed block head gasket will have a tab about an inch wide and 1/4 inch sticking out, to identify it as such. Doug
