Herald saloon, Holgate area York

The front seat passenger on Thursday decided to override the satnav - well she does it to me all the time - and instead of letting me take my normal route from York to the A66 spotted an imaginary sign for Harrogate and Thirsk on my left, instead of straight on, thereby steering me through leafy streets and in the totally wrong direction around (I think!) Holgate, where I spotted a very nice looking Herald saloon, which looked to be a dark two-tone with the bootlid in white, and an early 3-digit 3-letter registration parked on the footpath to my right. I just got an end-on glimpse as I drove past but it had quite a sizeable stick-on rear screen demister. It made the detour worth-while...

(Later on she got me lost in the Yorkshire Dales, so some lovely country around Angram and Ravenseat and an amazing number of dead-end roads....)
