Gentryman Posted October 1, 2019 Report Share Posted October 1, 2019 I wonder if anyone can help me. I bought a brake overhaul kit for my Vitesse. On the logbook it says it is a Mk 11. But the rear shoes are too big and three of the hoses are wrong. I've tried to contact the seller but the phone goes to answerphone. Can anyone help with advice? johny Posted October 1, 2019 Report Share Posted October 1, 2019 it sounds like you have the completely wrong kit as both the Mk 1 and 2 Vitesse use the same rear brakes shoes. Maybe its for a very late GT6 which I believe had wider shoes.... Have you got any part numbers? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Clive Posted October 2, 2019 Report Share Posted October 2, 2019 Guessing this is a gentry kitcar? If so it could have parts from several cars. So the rear brakes may well be spitfire/herald. You need to get a ruler out and start taking measurements! For hoses, shoes/drums and anything else you need to replace. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
