Fuel Pump Rod Seals

The fuel pump on my Vitesse leaks oil because the diaphragm rod seals have become worn over time, these seals and the retainer do not seem to be available in the UK, unless others know differently. I have taken a spare old pump apart the seals just seem to be two disks of the same material as the pump diaphragm, I was wondering about using a 24mm bucket core plug with a hole drilled in it as the retainer and making the discs with a couple of hole punches.

Looking at it again the seals are to stop oil getting to the diaphragm so might just need a new pump to engine gasket.
