Colin Lindsay
These homologation papers for the Triumph Herald 1200 appeared on eBay recently; I didn't win them but if it's a Club member that did I'd like to know more about them. The listing was very sparse on the details but I'm assuming they're original? Commission number is GA1DL dated 27th April 1961. They were required for the Herald to be able to compete in International Rallies. I know the FIA has an archive where you can view all of the classic applications but the original Herald papers would be worth having from a historic point of view. Jon J 1250
Hi Colin, Not sure if you are aware, but historical FIA forms are available on line, for example: https://historicdb.fia.com/sites/default/files/car_attachment/1601070001/homologation_form_number_5093_group_1.pdf Regards JJ
Colin Lindsay
I was, Jon, but was wondering if these were the actual forms that had been scanned for that site and if so, were they actually of any historical value?
Jon J 1250
Oops sorry, yes I read your original post at work in too much of a hurry. I hope you manage to track down some originals!
Colin Lindsay
Interesting that the engine number of the 1200 is listed as GA1 EH, not HE as we're used to.
