dogsbody47uk
Reading the discussions about Vitesse Mk2 shock absorber conversions, I got the impression that if you had a CV conversion, then standard Shocks could be fitted at the rear. I am interested in this because I shall rebuild my Vitesse with Canley's CV conversion. It was already fitted with a shock absorber conversion, which looked years old, so I have the brackets, but do I need them if the Rotoflex couplings are no longer in the way? Any advice appreciated. Cheers, Dave.
GFL
If you remove the extension brackets and use the original Chassis mountings for the top shock location, with standard Vitesse MK1 type Dampers you should be fine I reckon? Clive
On a spitfire, you certainly can fit std shocks to the std position with a CV conversion. As the chassis is identical in that area, so will a Vitesse. Nice and simple, and another good reason to go to CV's
