About this blog

Apologies to Patrick as I haven’t used this forum method until now - forwarding now as a general question.

My TR6 passenger seat does not go back far enough for my wife to exit easily.

My question being has anyone extended the lower rails in order the seat goes back further there is some 100mm prior to the back of the seat hitting the squab. I appreciate the seat rake arm mechanism may be temporarily obstructed until the seat return to its normal maximum.

The above would only be necessary during entry and exit - once in the car normal operation could be resumed.

Has anyone ever undertaken this type of adjusted if so would be great full to know how this was undertaken.

Thank you Brian (Plymouth Devon)

Clutch/gearbox engagement issue - 1974 Triumph TR6 Has anyone any idea how I may overcome - recently I had difficulty engaging reverse gear without the gear grating. I decided to replace the clutch slave cylinder complete with activating fork  system fully bled. I also changed the gearbox oil incl of overdrive. My first test in the garage (engine cold) appeared to operate correctly in all gears especially reverse. Although when the engine had warmed up the reverse gear grating returned
