Are the TSSC carpets good value,,, or should I look around,, they are for 1970,,, 1360 Herald,,, with original carpets ,,, though very well worn,,,

Morning Douglas. I'm a fan of the simpler electronic ignition systems, in that they're fit and forget, so no adjustments or wear as in conventional points. Some of the modern condensors are poor quality too. I use this system on all of my Heralds:

No problems so far, my GT6 also ran on a similar system for over ten years.
Regarding carpets, it all depends on the quality you require; moulded are good but pricey, and my cars would get a lot of wear, so in my own car I've gone for a fairly cheap set from Coverdale Carpets - I think about £149 or so, and I'll be adding underfelt and soundproofing myself.
