Properly set up twin carbs are usually more efficient than a single carb set up and so should be more economical.  Perhaps you should consider some restraint on your right foot instead ?   😆

I guess the CoM is deliberating on whether to ban Duxford again, this time because of the risk of contracting Monkeypox in that well known plague pit on the windy Cambridgeshire plain.  😅

[LV= ceases classic car insurance]

Been notified by my classic car insurer LV= (actually now just a front for Allianz) that they are ceasing classic car insurance
so from the expiry of my current cover in early September, I will need to find new insurers for my 1971 Triumph GT6 and my
1981 MGB GT LE.

 

My "everday" 2001 Ford Puma is also insured with LV= on a standard policy and I will probably transfer that
too to keep things tidy.

What a pain !

 

 

[Interesting Triumphs at Welwyn yesterday]

Just two of many Triumphs seen at Welwyn Classics yesterday,

a very smart Dolomite Sprint and a Mk3 GT6 with a Triumph 2500 engine, gearbox and overdrive transplant. Hopefully we will see this car at the Raven soon.

This morning Baldock Tesco had no Regular and no Diesel at any pump.  I use Momentum 99 Octane anyway so I was able to fill both the GT6 and the MGB GT as all pumps were available for "Super".  There was a regular stream of SUVs driving in , slowing to look at the tags on the pumps and then haring out again.
