Does anybody have a copy of Original Technical Publications for the Herald Vitesse that they either sell me. Ref:CDHMCC7008
I have for years been unable to view my CDs in the series. After buying a new PC I have rebuilt my old machine to run on windows XP and can view the content again. Unfortunately I can not find my copy of the Herald Vitesse CD.

So where is the link on the front page, see above?
Also having added the image to my first post there was no room left in the box to write any text.

If you use one of the spark plug cleaners be very careful to ensure all the grit is removed from the plug before reusing it. The grit is small and will get trapped in any crevices.
-
If AC 50 is an electrical contact cleaner - you could use it to get any green copper corrosion off the contacts.

Duff Morgan & Vermont of Norwich formed in 1909, by three men: Colonel Granville Duff, John Delmar Morgan and his brother-in-law, Commander Oliver Locker-Lampson. The company is still trading today under the abbreviated name ‘Duff Morgan’ with sites in Norwich and Kings Lynn.

The 38th article I have written is about Botwoods Ltd a Triumph car dealer based in the east of England. Botwoods was a part of the Mann Egerton group.
Until 1910 the motor car manufacturers Botwood & Egerton ran alongside the carriage-making firm until Egerton left to set up his own business in Northgate (Street) next to the Great White Horse Hotel. The Botwood company became Botwoods Ltd and in the 1920s the Botwood shares were acquired by Mann, Egerton & Co of Norwich.

Shame the blog feature only allows new content written here - I already have a blog and would be happy to add it here but will not writing duplicate content to 2 different blogs.
Also surprised a new version still does not allow either facebook or twitter ID's to be added into profile but does include Yahoo and Jabber whatever that is.

John if we can get access to the original text used to produce the Courier pages the CR text error correction should be much reduced or nil. For example converting a Microsoft Word doc into a PDF can result in fully searchable version whereas converting an image of text tends to be much less accurate in my exprience. So trying to get a searchable PDF from scanned copy of an article is likely to produce a worse result than converting the original text based source used to produce the article.

I would be happy to help.
Some intial thoughts on the project.
What program is used to publish the Courier? If it is produced on Adobe InDesign for example it should be easy to save the document in PDF format at the same time as is it sent to the printer.
The printer may also be able to help as they will be using a program to produce the paper version.
For the back history we have scanned copies on CD up to a point. I think it may be possible to resave them in searchable PDF format. I have Adobe Acrobat that includes an Optical Character Recognition facity to convert images of text in a PDF into searchable format version. Other such programs are available. -
Roger thanks for sharing that image. I do not think I have seen any dealer glassware before.

If you are used to a modern cars braking the brake efficiency of the Vitesse will feel somewhat lacking. Like John says you need to test the brakes to highlight any faults. Whereas the front discs effectively self adjust the drums needs to be adjusted manually (but as you have had the car MOTed recently they must be adjusted properly at present.).

You can also use a infra red sensor to test tyre temps. Take several reading across the width of the thread to see if an edge is getting noticabily hotter or if the centre is hotest. http://www.fluke.com/fluke/uses/comunidad/fluke-news-plus/articlecategories/automotive/racetracktemp

I would put the puller on front of the wheel. The centre of the puller pressing on the end of the shaft and the legs pulling on the arms of the wheel.
Might help to put some of your favourite realise agent (WD40) on the end of the shaft, and have a cuppa while it soaks in, before having another go.

You could try talking to a specialist Lucas supplier such as Holden. They will not be cheap but do know their stuff and have some staff with real hands on experience.
I think much of the old Lucas stuff uses BA fasteners rather than AF or metric.

Sorry may be I was being a bit too cryptic. I supplied most of the PDFs on the Triumph Enthusiasts Club Belgium including the one mentioned in this post.

http://tecb.eu/onewebmedia/Triumph%20Vitesse%20GT6%20workshop%20manual.pdf
This one seems to have rotoflex mentioned in the rear suspension section. Any use?
And guess where they got that from?

Hi folks, I bought a genuine triumph workshop manual, for GT6 and Vitesse 2 litre, however it has no info on rotoflex rear suspension and drive. Does anyone know of a workshop manual that contains the correct info on rotoflex preferably a genuine Triumph one ? Thanks. Pat
If it is the Red covered manual "Triumph GT6 and Vitesse 2-litre Workshop Manual" the Vitesse Mk2 is included. You can get a scanned copy from my website at: http://vitessesteve.co.uk/Servicemanuals

What do you want to measure. Is now the time to add temperature measurement to your meter or ability to measure domestic 240v stuff as well?
