  1. I’ll have a look and let you know if I have any.
  2. Hi Andy, there should be a fixing plate behind the headlamp bowl (item 10 on the attached parts diagram. The cowl hooks over the top of this and stews into the bottom. I might have a couple in the garage if you haven’t got any. If you’re new to Heralds, the Canley Classics website is really useful as it has all the parts diagrams - https://canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-herald-1200&diagram=triumph-herald-1200-headlamps-sidelamps-tail-lamps-and-number-plate-lamps Brian
  3. I would think that the strut is to support the window frame during manufacture and storage, which would back up the statement that it’s never been fitted. 12/50s had sunroofs as standard, so they were probably fitted at the factory.
  4. I got mine from James Paddock https://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/clips-fitting-tool-2
  5. Thanks Mike. It’s gunmetal grey.
  6. No other clips, just the retaining channels. They’re a bit of a pain to get on, but I used some tyre lubricant and a door trim clip tool to pull the bottom lip over the channel. Screwfix heavy duty degreaser is good for removing the inevitable greasy finger marks afterwards
  7. Thank you Pete. Mine have been cut off just before the two bolt holes, so I should be able to extend them by the right amount now. Brian
  8. Colin, that’s perfect. Thank you so much for doing that. Brian
  9. Hi, I have fitted the bonnet on my Herald so that I can get all the panels aligned before I paint it. Unfortunately a previous owner has cut both of the bonnet stiffeners (items 12 and 13 on the parts diagram. These are no longer available to buy so I will need to repair the existing ones. Could anybody please let me have some dimensions of the original ones? Thanks in advance, Brian
  10. Sorry I meant 72. That’s what happens when you post on a forum when you’re supposed to be cooking dinner😂. I think I’ll need to re-tap the thread as it looks a bit worn. Thank you both for the information.
  11. Hi, can anybody tell me the part number for the fuel inlet union to fit a Solex B30pse1 carb on a late Herald 1200? The usual parts diagrams don’t appear to show it, but it is in position 74 in the attached diagram from the workshop manual. I thought it looked the same as the fuel pump connections, but tried one and it is too tight. Thanks in advance, Brian
