That rings a bell with me Kevin. Slips over the TOP bracket, helps compress the two bolts which cam strip out the 'U' cover if overtightened.
Then again I have been in a hospital bed the last 10 days and have brain fade

Well pleased. Did you try the reversing warning?
By the way, the clamp on the clutch cylinder is just to dampen the vacuum gauge tube. Other methods are available but I had that pipette/burette holder handy and i miss it.

Lancaster charge £12 for agreed value if you supply 5 photos. well they did for the 8k i used. Peeps do say 3/4 agreed is about the value ???
-
I used that Meerkat thingy then went direct to the first few. Lancaster were best at £80.
My other cars were with AA but they do not seem interested in classics

My 71 13/60 also has hose direct to air filter.
The question re the oil cap is interesting, mind Colin did edit the title after the first posting. Maybe it was miss titled with reference to the oil cap? Maybe John did read the top section of the photo? Maybe it is about valve rocker clearance? Someone may be half asleep?

I had to 'adjust ' the trims from my 3.5j to fit the 4.5s I put on mine.
Gently bending and adjusting so I could fit the caps. Looks OK from a few feet away

Pete, there is a plastic coated cardboard 'tray' that clips over the full width and depth of the rear seat with a vertical perspex screen slotted in vertically behind the front seats. I'll try and get a picture next time I fit it. Just google it mate, plenty of people trying to get £400 for one !!

👍 very nice. That model may be my next step 'forward.
Wish we had some meets North of the Tyne

I'll confirm johnys comments, mine can be into the red in certain situations eg hot day, traffic at a standstill but it soon returns to normal when breezing along.
Don't worry (yet) get some driving done and look out for steam !

The one I fitted on my 13/60 certainly stops the passengers hair from blowing into their face, I don't have the length
Re the noise reduction...... I've never been fast enough to notice !

sorry guys. Yes, the Master cylinder was a red herring !
the vac pipe was nearby so I just used it as an anchor point.
Will try a bit of small bore pipe when I get a chance.. M in L just passed away

Vacuum gauge.
Not the ideal spot but in 'test mode' at the moment.
Have you not seen the 'pulse problems that occur?

Yes, as Joseph says, it is a doddle. I had to just replace the rubbers to satisfy a finicky MoT tester!

6d !!!!! My grandkids get at least a fiver! Maybe my daughters are too generous?

What do you need a servo for?
Weak legs?
Power steering next
Weak arms?
it is all part of the 'experience ' of a classic !!!

My 13/60 are purple white too Joseph
my WSM and my Haynes say brow black also???
-
and I havn't been car sick for years! Maybe mum was wrong?

Speaking of the car body being insulated from the Earth by the tyres, do you remember the old dangling earth straps? Stopped you being car sick I was told
I think Colins confusion being caused by the horns being 'switched' to earth, Not switched to live, maybe? earth being the body via the column push button and uj link
