Evening all,
So is there a correlation between short drive shafts and early car springs? I'm thinking about camber angles and imagining that early car springs don't swing. But are possibly shorter. Therefore if I use a later "swing" spring with short shafts I'll get more camber and potential tuck! Which nobody wants. Can anyone Shine a light on correct spring / shaft length combinations?

Alan hi, I don't but I'll keep an eye on the post as I'm in exactly the same position. I think they're a cracking upgrade. Boy racer image be damned.

Puller not pulled!!!!

Greetings all, I'm going to replace the bearings in my hubs whilst the car is stripped down. Is there anyone in the Bristol area that might loan or rent me a hub pulled for the purpose?

Evening all,
I have seen this question begore, it is " does anyone have any experience of dura flex bushes? " I know people mentioned other sources and their reliability or not. However I'm asking about dura flex and any review on them. Not meaning to be rude just don't want to waste anyone's time.
Many thanks Johno

Greetings, I'm looking at the potential water trap in the lower rear wing beading, and considering what to fill the beading with before placing it on the wing joint. In order to fill any gaps and thus prevent water pooling. Anyone done this and able to recommend a product.

Hi all, I have contacted the local club to see if anyone has a powder blue or Wedgwood blue car that I could look at to choose between the colours. It appears Avon club don't and not all are attending meetings for obvious reasons. Does anyone have a car in either of these Colours reasonably close to Bristol so I can get a better idea of the colour on a big scale?
any help muchly appreciated regards Johno

Cheers Nick, I will give it a go.

Afternoon all,
So the next turn in my diff reno... The input flange needed a pulled to come off and although spotless now it really doesn't want to go back on! I've thought about heating the flange but am concerned about the new seal. Who's dealt with this before and how?

Had no intention of not using the gasket, just asking about compound.

Pete hi you mention in another topic a different grade of oil for the diff. I can't find the topic now something to do with trunions. What grade makes for a quiet diff?

Hi all, I've just opened up my diff to replace oil seals and output bearings as one is not silky smooth. The question is should a gasket compound be used for the diff casing and indeed the output flanges. I'm thinking not so far. Anyone got the full sp?

Hi all, I think I'm going to paint my spitfire either Wedgwood or powder blue. Ideally I'd like to see the colours on a full size car before deciding. Is there anyone in the Bristol area with a car in either of these colours who wouldn't mind me having a look?

Right giys , so the latest as expected is that it's not ice/porcelain blue as was expected really So as Dan mi and Pete Lewis suspected it looks like it's not a triumph colour. (Me too to be fair). Anyway I'm looking at going with Wedgwood with powder blue as an outside chance! Is there anyone in the Bristol area with a car in either of these colours in order that I can get an idea of what they look like on a grand scale and not just (effectively) a match pot square.

Unfortunately I sold all the bolt off panels back in the day. So that leaves the tub. I'll check this colour chart.
Thanks
