yes they shrink had one i took off stored for a few years ended up like yours . did close better when left out on a very hot summers day. beware pulling it tight on the screen catches can cause problems latter on with door shutting l learnt the hard way paul
-
what does it shut like with out the door seals fitted , on mine had wrong seals pushed the door out of line , last vitesse used a lump hammer 4x2 lined up then made good before painting, but agree rear wing does not look right in pics .

same on my 12/50 again body never been off paul

sure less wear engine gets to temperature lot quicker when driven can push the choke home a lot quicker than sat at idle
-
if a bit low for trolly jack drive on to some 4x2 timber fist assuming car drives
-
better to start on choke drive the car push the choke in as soon as the car will run with out it less engine wear that way .

you only know the true condition when you actually see it , i sold a very nice looking vitesse 1600 for £4000 a while back it was a peace of sh.t chassis wise like a patchwork quilt , then turned up a few months latter for sale by a well known classic dealer describing it as a gem one of the best for £16000 took him 2 years but he sold it , pity the new owner .

used chemical metal putty on my vitesse 1600 seemed to work well for the time i owned it just over a year, not sure how good long term though,
