  1. Hello to you all. I have a Herald 13/60 a late one 1971 registered.  Is the starter motor fused as standard and if not is it worth fitting a fuse to the system and if so what size amp would you recommend only asking as I am fitting a new pre engaged type bomb get from club shop.

    thank you in advance

  2. Hi all Herald 13/60 it is not the U.Js on the prop shaft not even attempting them yet but the UJs on the drive shafts at the differential end. They have blanking plugs fitted which I have removed but how the bloody hell do you get a nipple in and then being able to get your grease gun on. As I said you need a nipple that in 3 inches long. HELP

  3. Hello intelligent people help me out.  In my wisdom I thought I would use my new long grease nipple on my uj s that have never been greased.  OK car was on axel stands wheels off and then I jacked the hub seperatley until the car was being lifted so  I thought that would get the drive shaft horizontal. Still cannot get a grease  nipple anywhere near the blanking plug. Is there anywhere that sells extra long nipples they need to be about three inches long to enable to get the nipple in between the drive shafts and to get a grease gun on the nipple.  Or has any one got any better ideas.

  4. Hi all

I replaced my carpets in my 13/60 convertible.  Bought them as a complete set from the club shop.  The fitting was very simple as the carpets are moulded. especially the section round the transmission tunnel.  Good quality and the price was competitive.  Sorry to say this but even if you can buy the same carpets from another supplier for slightly less, is it not worth always supporting the shop and our club.  If we always go down the cheapest route we will not have a club or a shop.  The only winner is eBay or the likes and they do not care about us.

  8. Hi all

love bigfella s set up. The blue scissor jack I presume if not please tell me where you bought it and what is is. How would that set up work with a Herald with the chassis runner down the centre of the car.  I have been looking for months at the best thing to purchase but every time I come unstuck with this issue. Ideally I want all four wheels off the deck. An comments welcome
