GRAHAM HUNT
Hi, can anyone tell me if the door gap bracing tool that is sold for the Spit/Gt6 will fit the Herald range please? If not, what do members use? Many thanks. G.
Josef
The bulkhead and rear tub on the Herald are not joined together, so you don’t need to brace the door gaps in the same way. The Spitfire needs bracing as the body is semi monocoque and the sills are important for the structure. The Herald however relies on its chassis for structure and the two body sections can be adjusted relative to one another.
GRAHAM HUNT
Thanks for that info Josef. I'll be slicing my door sill plates soon as both sides have the mountings missing!

GRAHAM HUNT
Thanks for the tip Pete. Yes I have those plates with the mountings spot welded in position. They are very well made & heavy gauge, should be an improvement on what has been done previously.
