Pete Im nervous because Ive done away with the fan boss and used by own spacer and large washer to hold the pulley on! This was to make more space for an electric rad fan but maybe I should go back to standard....
Pete Lewis
tis the time to be merry not worry if the fan flies off you will get a warning sound followed by some staining Pete
johny
Ha, if I was cleverer Id work out the kinetic energy produced in Johns pulley-flying-off-at-4000rpm scenario to really worry myself! Wonder if it could get through the bonnet🤔
Pete Lewis
we had metal truck fans escape blades piercing through the floor and out via the roof Nasty things . on my rotating damper we tried to refill with butyl rubber but its hopeless keeping the accurate concentricity and if the bonding fails the ring cant escape diameters interfere by the time we had parted the two it was a mend to destruction exercise so sleep easy Pete
