CarlM
Don't really have room in home garage to do a full strip down. Is it possible to replace top ball joint on the front suspension on the car, without removing coil spring? The kit from Rimmers includes the bushes for the top wishbone arms, but these look good on the car as is, so wasn't proposing to remove. Any help gratefully received. Josef
The spring and damper are compressed as a unit on the Herald so you don’t need to worry about them unless you’re planning to separate the two. You can easily remove the top wishbones from the ball joint without touching anything else. I had to do this one one side of my Spitfire recently to be able to replace one of the radiator stay bolts that wouldn’t come out with the wishbone in place. Jeffds1360
Yes, as Joseph says, it is a doddle. I had to just replace the rubbers to satisfy a finicky MoT tester!
