Colin Lindsay Posted May 9, 2023 Report Share Posted May 9, 2023 Hi y'all; been trying to fit a screen rubber to a Herald windscreen since last night but it seems too tight. 3/4 of it fits and the last 1/4 doesn't. Yes I checked that the short bit was to the top and the longer edge to the bottom ( the photo does look like it's the wrong corner but that's the way it's pulled)... but it's refusing to stretch to that last corner and to be honest I've come close to bending the screen to destruction. Any tips for lubricating it so that it can at least slide on the glass? Used to be Fairy Liquid but I know we've moved on since then. The screen rubber has been stored for a time, so might have shrunk but not hardened that I can see... any thoughts on the quality of the new ones?
