rulloyd
The o/d loom I bought for my o/d conversion excluded an earth wire for the inhibitor switch. Is it sufficient just to wire to a bolt/nut in the gearbox please? many thanks Rich
johny
Yes connected to a convenient fastener will be fine as its low current (relay coil). The gearbox is well earthed through the engine front earth strap which is sufficient for the much higher current flow from the OD solenoid👍
micklewis
use a standard 4 or 5 pin 12v 40a automotive relay , wont have any issues , use the inhib switch to trigger the relay . no harm in adding a extra earth strap from bellhousing to frame
