Herald 1200 front grille and surround fixings

Please can any 1200 owners confirm how the two grilles are fixed to the surround and how the surround is fixed to the top flange of the front valance.

 

I'm sure the grilles are fixed using pan head self tappers in spire clips, but what size screw?

 

For the four fixings at the bottom of the grille surround the parts book mentions a cage nut, but I can't find a supplier, I think I've seen these also fixed using self tappers in spire clips.

 

Any knowledge?  Or photos?

Will take a look. But iirc 1/2 inch x. 8 pan heads should do it. In a captive spire clip

The bottom of the surround sits on the front valence and is secured by small bolts into caged nuts; however any similar sized self-tapper will do and you can use modern car plastic trim clips which will push into the caged and work like a rawl-plug.
