Rich
Funny thing happened today, driving the vitesse (mk1 CV) and suddenly lost all gears when going from 1st to 2nd. The pedal just hit the floor with no resistance. It then came back and is working as normal! I checked the fluid, linkage and clutch slave operations and all is fine! Has anyone every experienced this? Many thanks Rich
Pete Lewis
Sounds like the reservior seal the small one on the end of the piston spring has got some debris under itor is in trouble , if it fails the fluid you try to pressurise just returns quickly to the reservoir.as this seal has to cover the filling port when you touch the pedaljust a ideapete
Herald948
I'm with Pete on this. If it were my car, I'd be putting new seal kits in both master and slave cylinders (unless, of course, you encounter a damaged bore in either cylinder, in which case it's time for new cylinder)!
