hank
I want to replace the original Triumph radio since it only has L and M wavelengths, with something with FM. Would prefer new Kenwood etc - not fussed about cd or cassette player. The radio slot on the Acclaim seems narrow compared to later cars . Can anyone suggest a modern radio or let me know the slot size - is this a DIN size. Thanks for help
Guest
I'm intending to get one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Car-Radio-DAB-FM-RDS-Bluetooth-USB-Aux-in-iPhone/262857379019?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Some fellow classic car owners have them and cannot praise the radio highly enough. A tad expensive, but a very nice bit of kit. If you look at their website, I think the radio dimensions are there which should assist. Regards. Richard. Colin Lindsay
I must have a look a that - I've lost the veneered ashtray cover from my 1200 and might adapt the ashtray slot to take a head unit, provided there's enough room between the two cables.
